- Booker T
Q: How did you first hear of Booker T Boudoir and what made you want to book with us?
A: Through the local acting world. Booker always made me laugh and feel super comfortable.
Q: What was your initial reason for booking?
A: I book a session every year for my birthday. It is something I do to keep me in check...I like to make sure I'm taking care of my body, what better way than through a camera lens? Specifically I chose Boudoir this time, because I wanted something nourishing but also an experience I haven't done before. Those experiences always lead to new lessons about me.
Q: Do you have an "expectation vs reality" story to tell about your shoot?
A: The experience was nourishing. I am comfortable with Booker as a friend, but as the shoot went on I was more comfortable with me and my body. I'm not in the best shape I've been in, but, I've been through a ton of change, so the shoot was a treat for me to honor my body and say thank you. I found myself feeling more sensual as the shoot when on. Registering how my skin feels, how my body moves, what I enjoy thinking about and envisioning to create relaxation and heighten my senses. I felt the most beautiful, comfortable, feminine, confident, sensual and strong I have ever felt. The shoot cracked open my inner goddess.
Q: What was it like seeing your images for the first time?
A: I had an eye opener. I remembered how much shit I’ve been going through in the past year and thought; Damn, I’ve let myself go. That all dissipated because I went right back to the sensualness, sexiness the shoot brought into my life. Even though I let myself go, current me is still full of sensualness.
Q: Has anything changed for you since your boudoir experience and seeing your gallery? How has boudoir impacted your body image as a woman?
A: Being feminine, is fucking awesome. Allowing my body to receive all the senses makes me glow. It's made me a better lover, just by knowing my own self a little better. Do I know exactly what type of man turns me on...no...but I know the touches, the look, the feelings, and I now understand being a submissive. As a "strong woman" in the outer world, it completely has thrown men for a loop that I'm a submissive in the bedroom. Not until this shoot, have I been able to put words to that conundrum. I look at men differently, there is more of an energy exchange before words are exchanged, just to see if they will be able to handle me in the bedroom.
I've always had a pretty descent outlook on body image, but as I'm getting older, my body is changing. I have more curves. My weight hasn't changed much, just the shape has changed. I'm getting use to this. The shoot helped, sometimes we wear rose colored glasses when we think of ourselves (in denial). I don't look bad, I'm different. It did get me moving more while honoring everything I've put my body through
Q: Would you recommend Booker T Boudoir for the luxury boudoir experience to others?
A: Of course
Q: What advice would you give to another woman considering the boudoir experience with Booker T Boudoir?
A: It's an opportunity to just be you, the sensual amazing you. Honor your body, be vulnerable with yourself, have a blast celebrating you. You may surprise yourself. Booker, actually shows you all the poses...all of them...Bring some wine to loosen you up.
Q: Is there anything else you'd like to add to your interview?
A: Every woman and every couple should do this at least once as an exploration of self, vulnerability and relationship. You will walk the earth more confident after.
